Whole course design package

I can take care of the whole course design process for you. Get in touch if you have an idea for an online course and need someone to turn it into a reality. This package includes:

• Scoping projects in terms of timeline and budget.

• Designing a collaborative development process for your project to ensure all stakeholders will have appropriate opportunity to review and approve the course content as the project progresses.

• Organizing and working with Subject Matter Experts (SME's) to sculpt an interesting, effective online course design.

• Storyboarding and designing all multimedia required for the course content.

• Designing and writing assessment in consultation with SME's.

• Ensuing all assessment materials pass moderation either via your usual external moderation body or via my own moderation contacts.

• Building the course either in your chosen LMS or in my private Moodle instance, to be delivered to you as a .mbz zipped folder that can be easily imported to any Moodle or Totara LMS.
  
  

Strategic Online Learning Consulting

Hourly rate: Starting from $120 + GST

I offer flexible consulting rates tailored to your project’s size and complexity. Smaller or short-term projects typically start at $120 per hour, while larger, more complex engagements may be charged at $140 per hour.

This approach ensures you only pay for the level of support and expertise your organisation needs to optimise your LMS and online learning strategy effectively.

Instructional Design

Hourly rate: $100 +GST

I have spent my whole career designing learning and assessment resources for adult learners in New Zealand. I have extensive experience working is Subject Matter Experts (SME's) to create assessments that meet current NZQA moderation requirements for Unit Standards. 

I have extensive experience working with Moodle, Totara, and iQualify and am keen to work with other LMS systems. I have experience using Adobe InDesign, Adobe Captivate and Articulate Storyline and am happy to work with these if you are able to provide access.

Instructional Design work includes:

•  Writing theory or practical assessments that meet all moderation requirements in consultation with SME's.

• Writing Learning Resources with input from SME's.

• Reviewing rough resources drafted by SME's and rewriting where required to create high-quality Learning Resources with increase engagement with multimedia and activities.

• Taking learning or assessment resources that have been drafted by someone else and building them into print-based (InDesign) or online (Learning Management Systems) formats.

• Designing and building interactive activities.

• Designing and creating videos.

System Administration and Technical Support

Hourly rate: $90 +GST

I provide practical, hands-on technical support for Learning Management Systems (LMS), with a focus on maintaining day-to-day functionality and supporting smooth course delivery. My experience includes working extensively with Moodle and Totara to support educators, learners, and administrators.

This service is ideal for organisations that need reliable help managing their LMS without the overhead of a full-time administrator.

Technical support services include:

• Reviewing and updating user roles and permissions to ensure appropriate access for learners, facilitators, and administrators

• Setting up, maintaining, or updating course delivery processes, including enrolments, course settings, and activity setup

• Troubleshooting common issues such as course visibility, user access problems, or broken activities

• Supporting content uploads, course backups, and course resets

• Liaising with hosting providers and technical teams when more advanced integration or server work is required

• Helping your internal team understand and manage system functions more confidently

While I don’t provide hosting or custom integration services directly, I can work alongside your technical specialists to help ensure clear communication and a successful outcome.

Graphic Design

Hourly rate: $80 +GST

I offer a range of professional graphic design services including digital illustration, infographics, and logo design. I work primarily with Procreate to create high-quality, custom imagery suited to your needs and brand.

I also have experience using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to design educational infographics, diagrams, and other visual learning tools. I'm happy to work with these programs if you can provide access.

Graphic Design work includes:

• Creating digital illustrations and original artwork

• Designing infographics to support learning or promotional content

• Developing logos and brand assets

• Formatting visuals for print and digital use

• Customising imagery to suit your course, website, or campaign.
